Located 12 km from Arbois, the wine capital of the Jura, the campsite is ideal for discovering the cellars and estates, organising tastings (in moderation) and exploring the Jura vineyards while enjoying accommodation in the countryside.
Can we organise a day trip to Lake Vouglans from the campsite?
Lake Vouglans is accessible for a day trip (approximately 35 km depending on the route). Beaches, coves, water sports centres, paddleboarding, swimming or viewpoints: an unmissable outing from your Lake Vouglans campsite... with the comfort of returning to peace and quiet in the evening.
Which must-see sites in the Jura can you visit from the campsite?
From Ounans, you can easily reach the Jura's classic attractions: Lake Chalain, the Hérisson Waterfalls, Pic de l'Aigle & Belvédère des 4 Lacs, Baume-les-Messieurs, Château-Chalon, not to mention Dole and Arbois for their heritage and local atmosphere.
Is the campsite close to the Royal Saltworks of Arc-et-Senans and UNESCO sites?
The campsite is ideally located for exploring UNESCO sites: the Royal Saltworks of Arc-et-Senans and the Great Saltworks of Salins-les-Bains (Salins-les-Bains is approximately 15 km away). These two major attractions offer an insight into the history of salt and showcase remarkable architecture.
What outdoor activities are available around the campsite (hiking, cycling, canoeing)?
There are a variety of outdoor activities around the campsite: hiking, forest walks, family cycling, river swimming, canoeing on the Loue, fishing, and numerous sporting activities in the Jura (via ferrata, canyoning, caving, adventure parks, etc., depending on your preferences).
Is the River Loue easily accessible from the campsite?
The Loue river is about 800 metres from the campsite. You can quickly reach the riverbanks for a stroll, pebble beaches, swimming spots, or simply enjoy the cool, natural atmosphere of the valley.
How can I book a canoe trip on the Loue river from the campsite?
Reservations can be made directly at reception. During the season, departures are available (notably Ounans → Belmont, 7 km, approximately 2 hours, with return shuttle). The campsite will provide you with information on timetables, availability and instructions (you must be able to swim, closed-toe shoes recommended).
What are the opening hours of the aquatic centre during the season?
The aquatic area is open from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., from 20 June to 5 September (with possible evening openings during high season, depending on the programme). In July/August, lifeguards are on duty from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Are there children's activities and evening entertainment during the high season?
During high season, the campsite offers family entertainment: sports tournaments, aquagym/aquabike (on request), and evening events (night swimming, concerts, karaoke, dance evenings, themed meals). For children, activities are organised two to three mornings a week according to the schedule posted.
How big are the pitches at the Jura le Val d’Amour campsite?
The pitches are approximately 100 to 140 m² depending on the area, with flat, grassy and shaded terrain. They are connected to10A electricity (European socket) and a water point is available nearby, with tarmac and lit paths to facilitate manoeuvring.
What types of accommodation are available?
The campsite offers mobile homes (2 to 3 bedrooms), chalets, and unusual nature-based accommodation without bathroom facilities, such as the Cabane Insolite Nid’Amour (2 people) or the Chalet Cabane (5 people). Each option allows you to choose between complete comfort and a "camping" experience.
Does the campsite welcome groups in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté?
The campsite welcomes groups for family reunions, seminars, clubs and events, with approximately 150 beds and suitable facilities: multi-purpose hall (150 m²), covered terrace (100 m²) and the possibility of private hire depending on the project. The team provides support with organisation (logistics, partners, nearby nature activities).
